One road from Hazlet to our door

Hazlet and our office both sit on Route 35, so the trip is one road with no highway and no transfers. From central Hazlet, it is about 2 miles. The building is on the Route 35 corridor close to Holmdel Towne Center and The Commons at Holmdel. Coming from the Garden State Parkway, take Exit 117 for Routes 35 and 36 and follow Route 35 South.

If you commute out of Hazlet station on NJ Transit’s North Jersey Coast Line, ask when you book about early-morning or late-afternoon appointment times, so a visit does not cost you a workday.

What to Expect on Your First Visit

You’ll begin with a consultation. Your clinician will hear your story and what you hope to achieve. Together, you’ll choose the services that work best for you—medication, therapy, lifestyle changes, or a combination of all three.

Before you book: risks and limits

Psychiatric medicines can have side effects. Some start working in days, while others take longer. Your prescriber will discuss the risks, alternatives, and follow-up plan with you before you begin. Never stop a medicine suddenly — it can cause uncomfortable effects. Always make changes with your prescriber. Care here is outpatient.

This practice isn’t for urgent or inpatient care. It doesn’t replace emergency services. For cosmetic services like laser therapy and sclerotherapy, we explain things in steps. First, we talk about the procedure. Then, we discuss the risks.

Cost and insurance

You can find fees and payment options on our pricing page. We accept some insurance plans for psychiatric visits. You can also check if video visits are covered the same way. Just ask about coverage when you call.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need a psychiatrist or a therapist?

A psychiatrist diagnoses and prescribes medication; a therapist provides talk therapy. If symptoms disrupt your sleep, work, or relationships for weeks, see a psychiatrist. For stress or life changes, therapy may be enough. A psychiatric evaluation can help you decide.

Yes. It’s a quick drive from Keyport, Union Beach, Keansburg, Middletown, and Matawan. Anyone nearby can book a consultation.

We are not an emergency service. If you or someone you know is in crisis or thinking about suicide, call or text 988. The 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline is available 24/7. For a medical emergency or immediate danger, call 911.
